What is Ride to Work Day?

Ride-to-Work-Day is an annual national and worldwide event where people ride their bikes to work.  It’s an organized, non-profit event that promotes the benefits of motorcycle and scooter commuting to work. It started in 1992, as an informal community demonstration each year. In 2000, a non-profit organization called, Ride to Work was formed to organize Ride to Work Day, which is now celebrated on the Third Monday in June every year.

COMMUTING TIME
The U.S. Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Statistics state that motorcycle commuting could shorten traveling time up to 33 minutes each hour for town-city travel and 20 minutes each hour for journey times through both high traffic and low traffic areas.
